Job summary

West Kowloon Cultural District Authority seeks a senior operations leader to oversee the performing arts venue, ensuring events run smoothly and guest experiences are exceptional. You will manage front-of-house, coordinate day-to-day operations and guide SOPs for banquet and merchandise functions.

Qualifications

• Recognized university degree as listed.
• 10 years of relevant venue operations experience.
• At least 8 years in a managerial position.
• Knowledge of performing arts venues facilities and front-of-house operations.
• Understanding of the Hong Kong performing arts scene.
• Experience in managing complex, high-profile events.
• Service-oriented with professional customer service skills.
• Proven track record of quality customer service.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Cantonese, Putonghua and English; shift work including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations of the performing arts venue ensuring events run smoothly.
• Lead a team to manage front-of-house and day-to-day operations.
• Recommend operational requirements and front-of-house venue design.
• Oversee banquet business and merchandise logistics.
• Develop and implement SOPs for banquet and merchandise operations.
• Manage product lifecycle and promotional item launches.
• Leverage analytics to translate insights for business decisions.
• Ensure events comply with safety and regulatory standards including licensing and risk management.
• Act as liaison between hirers, sales teams and food & beverage vendors.
• Build and maintain relationships with venue hirers, event organizers and partners.
• Perform duties as reasonably assigned by the Authority.
