Job summary

West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is seeking aDuty Manager to lead frontline operations, deliver top-tier guest experiences, and coordinate with hirers for event logistics. The role requires supervising staff, managing both indoor and outdoor venues, and working on weekends and public holidays.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant university degree and at least five years of experience, including three in supervision, with fluent English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Recognised university degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Performing Arts or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience, of which at least 3 in a supervisory position.
• Good knowledge of front-of-house operation.
• Customer service mentality.
• Able to work in both outdoor and indoor environments, including weekends and public holidays.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Manage a frontline operation team and act as Duty Manager during day-to-day operation, including emergency handling.
• Deliver guest experience of the highest standard and manage venue operations with frontline team members.
• Communicate and manage relationships with hirers to support shows and events logistics planning and execution.
• Coordinate with Artistic, Technical and Productions and other teams for venue operation logistics, event planning and execution.
• Assist in developing and implementing customer experience strategy.
• Assist in preparing operation procedures and guidelines.
• Manage and ensure staff efficiency of frontline operation team including casual labor.
• Handle projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the Authority.
