The University of Hong Kong IT Services is seeking a Senior IT Technician to maintain central IT infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft-related systems and services. The role involves collaborating with HKU departments, overseeing Windows server administration, and ensuring reliable service delivery.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, strong English and Chinese communication, and hands-on experience with Windows/Microsoft 365 and IT service management.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Good knowledge of IT services and applications; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Relevant experience in at least one area listed.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the central IT infrastructure, especially Microsoft-related systems, servers, storage, endpoint management, Entra ID, Configuration Manager, Intune, SharePoint Server, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Cloud and middleware.
• Oversee OS administration of departmental Windows-based servers.
• Liaise with vendors/suppliers to address user needs and support system platforms with application teams.
• Take ownership of system services to ensure smooth delivery and operations.
• Support the Service Desk on systems and related services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
