Nova Insurance Group in Hong Kong is seeking a senior General Insurance claims professional to manage a diverse portfolio from notification to settlement. You will review coverage, advise on documentation, and negotiate settlements in clients' best interests.

You will liaise with insurers, loss adjusters and solicitors, monitor progress, and prepare reports to support renewals and risk management. Proficiency with AI-powered tools and strong language skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional insurance qualification (ACII/ANZIIF).
• Minimum 5 years' General Insurance claims experience with broker/insurer/loss adjuster.
• Solid experience in Property, Liability, Employees' Compensation and Motor claims.
• Strong knowledge of policies, claims procedures and negotiation.
• Excellent communication and client servicing skills.

• Manage a portfolio of General Insurance claims, primarily Property, Liability, Employees' Compensation and Motor claims, from notification through to settlement.
• Review policy coverage and claims documentation, and advise clients on coverage, procedures and required documents.
• Advocate in clients' best interests on coverage and quantum, review settlement calculations, and negotiate timely settlements.
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
• Monitor claim progress and proactively drive the resolution of outstanding claims.
• Prepare claims reports, loss analyses and management information to support renewals and risk management.
• Use digital and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, data analysis and client service.
• Contribute to process improvement, best practices and the guidance to other team members.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder or holder of a professional insurance qualification (e.g. ACII or ANZIIF).
• Minimum 5 years' relevant General Insurance claims experience with an insurance broker, insurer or loss adjuster, with solid experience in Property, Liability, Employees' Compensation and Motor claims. Exposure to other commercial or specialty insurance lines would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures and claims negotiation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client servicing skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities, with the ability to work independently and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Able to use digital and AI-powered tools.
• Good written English and Chinese; fluent spoken English and Cantonese. Mandarin is an advantage.
• Structured on-the-job training, mentorship and exposure to a broad range of General Insurance claims will be provided to support professional development and long-term career growth.
