Job summary

Datawords in Hong Kong seeks a senior BD professional to identify and pursue strategic opportunities in Creative Digital and AI-driven marketing. You will lead end-to-end BD, leveraging your regional network and deep knowledge of digital services to close complex deals.

Applicants should bring 5+ years in BD or sales, strong HubSpot skills, and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to drive growth across HK and the GBA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BD or sales in a digital agency or services company
• Proven track record in complex, consultative sales environments
• Established network in Hong Kong and the GBA
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO/Search, creative workflows, and AI marketing trends
• Proficient in HubSpot with excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for Creative Digital and Search/AIO services
• Lead the full BD cycle: prospecting, discovery, proposal writing, pitch, negotiation, and closing
• Conduct in-depth research on prospects to understand their business context, key stakeholders, and decision-making processes
• Manage complex pre-sales and RFP processes, coordinating closely with production and delivery teams
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client portfolio
• Maintain rigorous CRM discipline (HubSpot) and monitor market trends and the evolving AI/Search landscape
• Represent Datawords at industry events and client meetings across the region

What requirements you'll need to be eligible

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years in business development or sales within a digital agency or digital services company
• Proven track record in complex, consultative sales environments
• An existing network in Hong Kong and the GBA, ready to activate from day one
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO/Search, creative workflows, and AI-driven marketing trends
• Proficient in HubSpot; excellent communication and presentation skills
