Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking a Senior Customer Analytics & Data Science Manager to lead AI-driven analytics in personal banking. You will shape strategy, build and supervise models, and collaborate across business units to translate needs into practical AI solutions.

You will oversee vendor evaluation, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive opportunities powered by Generative AI, RL and ML, while staying abreast of the latest AI trends to strengthen the bank's competitive edge.

Qualifications

• 4 years of analytics, modelling and AI/ML experience, at least 1 year in a managerial role.
• Banking/Financial Services or FinTech experience preferred.
• Experience with embedding techniques, RAG, promptings and LLM fine-tuning; familiarity with search/recommendation systems a plus.
• Strong self-starter with business sense and understanding of the personal banking market.
• Excellent English and Chinese; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Explore and create strategic AI solutions for the personal banking business using Generative AI, Reinforcement Learning, and Machine Learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Develop and refine AI models to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and evaluate suitable AI vendors, managing escalations to ensure deliverables and timelines.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities and targeting strategies powered by AI technology advancements.
• Stay highly tuned to the latest AI trends.
