Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a (Senior) Customer Analytics & Data Science Manager (Modeling) to lead AI-driven personal banking analytics initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions, develop and refine models, and manage vendor partnerships for timely deliverables.

The role requires 4+ years in analytics and ML/AI with at least 1 year in management, preferably within banking/fintech.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 4 years' analytics, modelling and machine learning/AI/Generative AI experience, at least 1 year managerial; Banking/FinTech preferred.
• Experience embedding techniques, RAG, prompting and LLM fine-tuning; involvement in search engine or recommendation system is a plus.
• Experience in ML/AI risk and governance is a plus.
• A mature self-starter with strong drive, motivation, business sense and understanding of personal banking market.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with English and Chinese; Mandarin would be a definite advantage.
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Customer Analytics & Data Science Manager.

Responsibilities

• Explore and create strategic solutions and actionable recommendations for the personal banking business by leveraging emerging AI technologies (e.g. Generative & Agentic AI, Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and refine AI models to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Identify and evaluate suitable AI vendors for specific use cases, managing escalations to ensure deliverables and timelines are met with excellence.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities and targeting strategies powered by AI technology advancements
• Highly sensitive to the latest AI trend
