Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking a Senior Customer Analytics & Data Science Manager to lead AI-driven analytics in personal banking. You will shape strategy, build and supervise models, and collaborate across business units to translate needs into practical AI solutions.

You will oversee vendor evaluation, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive opportunities powered by Generative AI, RL and ML, while staying abreast of the latest AI trends to strengthen the bank's competitive edge.

Qualifications

• 4 years of analytics, modelling and AI/ML experience, at least 1 year in a managerial role.
• Banking/Financial Services or FinTech experience preferred.
• Experience with embedding techniques, RAG, promptings and LLM fine-tuning; familiarity with search/recommendation systems a plus.
• Strong self-starter with business sense and understanding of the personal banking market.
• Excellent English and Chinese; Mandarin a plus.

Requirements:

• Degree or above with major in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related discipline
• 4 years' experience relating to analytics, modelling and machine learning/AI/Generative AI, at least 1 years of which at managerial level
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services or FinTech industry preferred
• Experience and knowledge in embedding techniques, RAG, promptings and LLM fine-tuning, involvement in search engine or recommendation system is a plus
• Experience in machine learning model/AI/Generative AI related risk and control governance is a plus
• A mature self-starter with strong drive, motivation, committed with good business sense and strong understanding of the personal banking market
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, knowledge of Mandarin would be a definite advantage
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Customer Analytics & Data Science Manager
