Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Hong Kong is seeking a skilled hospitality professional to lead our restaurant team, ensuring service runs with poise and precision and every table, sideboard and equipment is impeccably presented. You will greet guests by name, anticipate needs, share dietary requests with the right teams, and use menu and wine knowledge to upsell while coaching staff to maintain refined service.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of luxury F&B experience, strong knowledge of food

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of F&B experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant (from the HTML).
• Strong knowledge of food and wine, with attention to guest care (from the HTML).
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and develop others (from the HTML).
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese; Putonghua is a plus (from the HTML).

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant service to ensure seamless operation and impeccable presentation of tables, sideboards and equipment (from the HTML).
• Greet guests by name, anticipate needs, communicate dietary requirements with relevant teams (from the HTML).
• Use menu and wine knowledge to upsell and coach servers for consistent, refined service (from the HTML).
• Support budgetary control by monitoring orders, pour standards, billing and stock, and minimize waste (from the HTML).
• Uphold grooming, punctuality, teamwork and safety/hygiene standards across departments (from the HTML).

Job description

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Orchestrate the Service: Lead the restaurant team through every service with poise and precision, so each section runs seamlessly and every table, sideboard and piece of equipment is impeccably presented.
• Curate the Guest Journey: Greet guests by name, anticipate their needs and acknowledge VIP arrivals. Share allergies, dietary needs and special requests with the right teams.
• Inspire Through Expertise: Use your knowledge of menu and wine list to recommend with confidence and upsell naturally. Coach and train servers regularly so service stays consistent and refined.
• Champion Commercial Excellence: Support the restaurant's budget by checking ordering accuracy, pouring standards, bill handling and stock levels. Keep breakage and waste to a minimum and complete accurate weekly breakage reports.
• Lead with Integrity: Set the standard for grooming, punctuality and teamwork. Work closely with other departments, and uphold the hotel's safety, hygiene and sustainability standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of food and beverage experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant
• Strong knowledge of food and wine, a sharp eye for detail and caring for guests
• Approachable, calm under pressure and enjoys developing others
• Good communication skills in English and Cantonese; Putonghua is an advantage
