Job summary

TVB Group Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced IT Operations professional to plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities across diverse environments. You will drive batch scheduling, monitor performance, and lead incident management to ensure service levels are met.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Mainframe, Linux, Windows, and Cloud platforms, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Overseeing maintenance and on-call support are also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS or related field.
• At least 3 years IT Operations/Data Centre/System Admin experience.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Mainframe, and Cloud environments.
• Experience with batch scheduling and monitoring tools preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Familiarity with IT service and incident management processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities, including overtime.

Job description

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily operational activities to achieve departmental objectives and service levels
• Implement management goals by organizing workloads, workflows, schedules, and operational priorities
• Schedule, monitor, and operate batch jobs across various environments, including Mainframe, Linux, Windows, and Cloud platforms
• Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve batch processing failures in a timely manner
• Monitor system performance and ensure the stability and availability of critical business systems
• Coordinate routine maintenance activities and oversee equipment repairs and vendor support services
• Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements, upgrades, or replacement of equipment and operational processes
• Develop, review, and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and user guides
• Provide Tier 2 technical support during non-office hours and participate in on-call support when required
• Ensure incidents, service requests, and operational issues are properly logged, tracked, escalated, and resolved according to established procedures
• Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business users to ensure effective service delivery
• Perform on-site support duties as required
• Ensure timely communication and status updates to users and stakeholders regarding service interruptions or operational incidents
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery exercises

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Operations, Data Centre Operations, System Administration, or a related field
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is an advantage
• Solid knowledge of Windows, Linux, Mainframe, and Cloud-based environments
• Experience with enterprise batch scheduling and monitoring tools is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of IT service management and incident management processes
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Willingness to work overtime as required, participate in on-call support, and perform overtime when necessary
