Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) is seeking an Officer - Venue Operations (Maternity Cover) to oversee booking processes, liaise with clients and ensure smooth event execution at the venue. The role requires coordinating technical support, site visits and overseeing front-of-house during performances.
English and Chinese communication is essential, with experience in event management valued. The position calls for tertiary education or above, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work
Manage and follow through the booking process from initial enquiry to programme/event delivery including issuing agreement and payment processing, equipment rental etc.
Coordinate with clients and internal team for technical supports required.
Conduct site visits with hirers to show the venue and discuss event logistics.
Act as Duty Manager to coordinate logistics for events and ensure the smooth running of the performance.
Manage front-of-house team during the performance and handle ad hoc issues promptly.
Ensure that all events comply with health and safety regulations and the Hong Kong Arts Centre's policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions including bookings and financial data.
Perform other duties or ad-hoc tasks as required.
Tertiary education or above.
Preferable with 1 year experience in venue hire or event management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good in customer services.
Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking and able to prioritize tasks.
Knowledge of front-of-house operation is definitely an advantage.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
