Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited is seeking an Events Assistant to support the Event Planning & Co-ordination Department in event coordination and planning.
You will inspect sites, decide on floor plans, update event orders, and maintain detailed planning records to ensure smooth events and post-event reviews.
Works with the Event Planning & Co-ordination Department and takes part in event co-ordination and planning such as inspecting site, deciding the floor plan of the event and updating any details in event order.
Utilises all previous event records during event planning in order to maximise efficiency and minimise time for both the organiser and Centre’s employees.
Keep accurate and detailed records of all event planning, set-up, operational and coordination details to provide reference during event critiques, customer reviews and use if event is recurrent.
Marks down any ad-hoc requests or complaints from customers regarding the event and reports to Supervisor and concerned Assistant Event Managers or Event Managers.
Handles and answers customer enquiries of organising potential events.
Performs Hong Kong Ticketing Box Office services at counters, including cash or credit card transactions, exchange for tickets and amendments of ticket details.
Offers on-site support to the events by checking whether the event set up is properly done, greeting with the organiser and responding to any requests during the event.
Ensures the details of events displayed on the Digital Information Display Board and signage are in line with event details on a daily basis and reports any differences to Assistant Event Managers or Event Managers to follow up.
Degree holder orabove in hospitality, customer services, event management, catering management, hotel or other related fields.
Minimum 1 years’ experience in customer services, event co-ordination or management in a comparable industry.
Proven experience in project management, co-ordination and planning.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin would be advantageous.
Good computer skills in using software applications, e.g. Word and Excel
Able to work under pressure and plan ahead.
Shift duty is required
