Job summary

ASK IT LIMITED in Hong Kong is hiring a Network Specialist responsible for architecture planning, configuration, maintenance and tier-3 support of enterprise network and security infrastructure across campuses, data centres and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise routing, switching, wireless LAN, SD-WAN, and firewall infrastructure across offices and data centres.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and integrity; perform health checks, firmware upgrades, and patch management.
• Act as escalation point for complex network incidents; conduct RCA and implement recovery plans to minimize downtime.
• Enforce network security policies, ZTNA, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to architect secure hybrid cloud networking (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, transit gateways).
• Manage third-party vendors to ensure SLAs during rollouts and maintenance.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and DR runbooks.

Job Overview:
As a Network Specialist, he/she will be responsible for the architecture planning, configuration, maintenance, and tier-3 support of enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role holder will collaborate closely with internal infrastructure teams, regional offices, and external vendors to ensure high availability, resilience, and security compliance across campus, data centre, and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise routing, switching, wireless LAN, SD-WAN, and firewall infrastructure across offices and data centres.

Monitor network performance, capacity, and integrity, performing regular proactive health checks, firmware upgrades, and patch management.

Act as an escalation point for complex network incidents, conducting in-depth root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing effective recovery plans to minimize service downtime.

Enforce network security policies, zero-trust network access (ZTNA), and compliance standards in alignment with corporate cybersecurity guidelines and regulatory frameworks.

Collaborate with cloud infrastructure engineers to architect, optimize, and secure hybrid cloud networking connections such as AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and transit gateways.

Manage third-party vendors and telecommunication service providers to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) during project rollouts and maintenance windows.

Maintain comprehensive technical network documentation, network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and disaster recovery (DR) runbooks.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

5+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network design, administration, and troubleshooting within sizable corporations, financial institutions, or multi‑site environments.

In-depth technical expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching (VLAN, STP, VXLAN), and enterprise network solutions (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Juniper, HPE Aruba).

Solid practical experience with next‑generation firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point), load balancers (F5 BIG-IP), and VPN technologies.

Proven experience with SD‑WAN deployments and hybrid cloud network connectivity (AWS / Azure / GCP) is highly preferred.

Professional certifications such as CCNP Enterprise / Security, CCIE, PCNSE, or equivalent credentials are a definite advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.

Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua).
