Job summary

Asia Insurance in Hong Kong is seeking a Marine Claims Clerk / Assistant Supervisor to join our Marine Team. The role involves handling marine insurance claims from notification to settlement, reviewing documents, and maintaining records while coordinating with policyholders, brokers, surveyors, and adjusters.

The successful candidate will have a university degree or diploma in insurance or related field, at least two years of marine-insurance experience, and proficiency in MS Office, English

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in insurance, maritime studies, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Preferably at least two years of relevant experience in marine insurance, claims, shipping, logistics, or a related field; fresh graduates will be considered.
• Good analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling marine claims from notification through settlement, in accordance with policy terms and internal procedures.
• Review claim documents, maintain accurate claim records, and follow up on outstanding information.
• Liaise with policyholders, brokers, surveyors, adjusters, solicitors, and other relevant parties regarding claim progress.
• Prepare claim correspondence, reports, payment documentation, and other administrative records.
• Monitor claim developments and elevate complex or material issues to supervisors when appropriate.
• Support the team in maintaining service standards, regulatory compliance, and effective claims administration.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc assignments as required.

MARINE CLAIMS CLERK / ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Marine Team and support the handling and administration of marine insurance claims. The successful candidate will work closely with internal colleagues, policyholders, brokers, surveyors, and other external parties to facilitate timely and professional claims processing. The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
