Job summary

Bank of China Group Insurance Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Marine Claims Administrator to support marine hull and cargo clients with claim filing, documentation and settlement progress.

You will liaise with clients, brokers and underwriters, produce claims records, and assist the Claims Manager. English is essential; Cantonese/Mandarin preferred. The role offers training by industry experts and 20 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the Insurance or Finance industry.
• Proficient command of written and verbal English.
• Verbal command of Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with various types of marine claims, including reinsurance claims, for marine hull and cargo clients.
• Producing claims documentation and administration.
• Communicating with clients, brokers and insurers to progress claims and obtain settlement monies.
• Dispatching new claims notifications, claim updates and communicating with insurers and brokers to ensure timely payment.
• Generate monthly outstanding claims list and following up with the respective underwriters for claims payment.
• Liaise with the Accounting team regarding claims settlements.
• Updating and management of claims records and generating claims statistics.
• Generally assisting the Claims Manager on all claims being handled by the company and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Opportunity to receive training on broking.
