Job summary

BDO Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Learning & Development professional to design, develop, and update interactive eLearning courses for audit, financial reporting, and compliance training.

You will transform HKSA and IFRS standards into beginner-friendly modules, collaborate with subject-matter experts, and deliver virtual or in-person sessions while tracking outcomes and driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• 4–6 years of audit experience, with training delivery and eLearning design preferred.
• Solid knowledge of HKSA and IFRS standards.
• Expertise in LMS and e-learning authoring tools.
• Proficiency in Articulate 360 and MS 365 tools.
• Fluent in English, Chinese, and Putonghua, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and update interactive eLearning courses (using Articulate 360/Rise/Storyline) for audit, financial reporting, and compliance training.

Transform complex audit standards (e.g., HKSA, HKFRS) into engaging, beginner-friendly modules.

Collaborate with subject‑matter experts in audit/risk teams to validate content accuracy.

Conduct virtual/in‑person training sessions on audit methodologies, firm tools, and financial reporting.

Monitor learning effectiveness by analyzing data, reviewing training reports, collecting feedback, and generating insights, then provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Assist in managing the annual L&D calendar for audit/technical training.

Create user guides/tutorials to enhance staff proficiency in audit tools.

Research and integrate innovative training methods, such as microlearning, gamification, and AI tools.

Update materials to reflect changes in regulations, firm policies, or global audit standards.

Act as the liaison between local staff and global IT to troubleshoot audit software issues.

Support and uphold the BDO Global Vision.

Requirements

• Degree holder or above in Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 4–6 years of audit experience, with additional experience in training delivery and eLearning design highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of HKSA and IFRS standards.
• Expertise in using learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools.
• Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) or similar.
• Basic graphic/video editing skills for course enhancements.
• Proficient in data analytics software (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to track training outcomes, with basic graphic and video editing skills to enhance courses.
• Familiarity with the broader Microsoft 365 suite (e.g., Teams, Forms, SharePoint).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective training delivery and relationship‑building with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluent in English, Chinese, and Putonghua.
• Ability to collaborate with global IT/audit teams to resolve tool functionality issues.
