Job summary

Airport Authority Hong Kong invites a senior data architect to lead the design and implementation of AA's data infrastructure. You will shape data assets, pipelines, and governance, enabling self-serve analytics for a busy airport ecosystem.

You will collaborate with user departments and the Data Analysis Team to drive the roadmap, oversee the Data Centre of Excellence, and mentor teams across the organisation, ensuring data handling best practices and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Information System, Computer Science, Data Management, Data Science, Airport Management or related disciplines.
• Experience in delivering data analytics projects and managing data platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the Architect of the Data Infrastructure by designing, planning and implementing all infrastructure related corporate data, pipelines, data analytics and data assets, and use advanced data platform technology and work closely with user departments to enable self-service data analytics across AA
• Design and review data infrastructure for AA and the Airport Community to support data-driven operations and analytics
• Design, implement and maintain data governance for both EAP and corporate data
• Collaborate with Data Analysis Team to drive, support and plan the roadmap for all Data Analysis projects, delivering insights to support airport operations
• Assist the Senior Manager to set up and maintain the Data Centre of Excellence in AA to support data-related initiatives by providing guidance and expert advice on data handling and manipulation
• Take lead in data cultivation within AA
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to share operations data and insights to build the data community

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Information System, Computer Science, Data Management, Data Science, Airport Management or other related disciplines with at least 8 years of experience in delivering data analytics projects, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience in managing data platforms
• Experience in airport or airline operations will be an advantage
• Good exposure and experience in managing data pipelines in operational context
• Hands-on experience in data processing and associated toolkits such as PowerBI, SQL, Excel
• Experience in data platform and related tools such as. Databricks, Purview, Fabric will be an advantage
• Innovative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized
• Open-minded, flexible, and capable of managing time effectively
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office application and project management software tools
