Job summary

Medora, a semi-fine dining restaurant in Hong Kong, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of the business and deliver a high-quality dining experience in a fast-paced setting.

You will oversee daily operations, uphold wine service standards, manage staff, and drive revenue and guest satisfaction while ensuring health and safety compliance. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of restaurant management experience in a luxury western restaurant.
• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management; WSET Level 2 or 3 is an advantage.
• Able to advise guests on wines based on tastes and food choices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Hong Kong resident only; immediate availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant.
• Ensure the highest standards of food and beverage service.
• Manage staff including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Advise guests on wines based on personal tastes.
• Manage the wine cellar and conduct wine tastings.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues.
• Provide periodic analysis and status reports for management.
• Develop strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Monitor financial performance and manage budgets.
