Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a senior leader to shape its IT software procurement. You will define category, sourcing and commercial strategies, lead software acquisition, and ensure value, quality, and service.

You will work with IT, business, and outport stakeholders to challenge specs, manage demand, and drive supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance management. A team of Assistant Managers will report to you.

Qualifications

University graduate in related discipline.
Procurement and Category Management experience is essential.
Ability to adapt and learn rapidly to communicate with stakeholders.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
Ability to inspire and build trust among the APD community.
Excellent people skills to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define and implement sourcing, procurement and commercial strategies relating to IT Software.
Conduct global, regional, and local market analysis to identify trends and develop strategies.
Develop and manage relationships with key software suppliers and organisations.
Restructure the procurement operating model to enable cross-category support and drive efficiencies.
Lead a team and provide leadership, coaching, and development to staff.
