Job summary

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a senior procurement leader to shape IT software procurement, define sourcing and commercial strategies, and lead a team of Assistant Managers in aligning with global, regional and local market intelligence.

You will collaborate with IT, business and outport stakeholders, challenge specifications, manage demand and drive efficiencies through cross-category support for tenders and Statements of Work, while upholding high ethics and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• University degree required in a related discipline.
• 7 years of relevant experience.
• Procurement and Category Management experience is essential.
• Ability to adapt and learn rapidly to talk the language of stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Ability to inspire and build trust within the APD community.
• Excellent people skills; ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement strategies.
• Approachable and decisive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement sourcing, procurement and commercial strategies relating to IT software.
• Conduct global, regional and local market analysis to identify trends and develop strategies.
• Develop and manage relationships with key software suppliers and organisations.
• Redesign the procurement operating model to enable leverage of cross-category teams.
• Lead cross-functional category support for tenders and Statements of Work.
• Sourcing, selection and negotiation to achieve best price while sustaining quality and service.
• Engage with BU stakeholders, challenge specifications and manage demand.
• Negotiate contractual arrangements to maximise value and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes for sourcing, negotiation, supplier management and contract management.
• Lead and develop a team of Assistant Managers with coaching and direction.
