St. James’ Settlement is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to set up office IT, manage servers, and support daily tech issues across Wan Chai locations. The role requires hands-on experience with network devices, virtualization (Hyper‑V/Nutanix), and AD services, with a strong customer-service mindset for non-technical users.
Experience in NGO or public sector is a plus. Travel between sites is expected as part of office builds and ongoing support.
Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with hands-on experience in first-line IT support, office relocations, or branch setups
Proficiency in network deployment, server maintenance, structured cabling, hardware installation, and ITSM tools
Experience with Windows/Linux servers, Hyper‑V/Nutanix virtualisation, and Active Directory services
Familiarity with Azure cloud services and backup and recovery procedures
CCNA, MCSE, or ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio or general understanding of how AI agents are built in Microsoft 365
Willing to travel between sites and handle network equipment and IT hardware
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support non-technical users patiently, politely, and clearly
Experience in NGO, social services, or public sector is an advantage
Job Duties:
Arrange physical and logical IT setups for new offices, including server racks, network cabling, network devices, and workstations
Administer switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points across all locations
Act as the primary contact for daily technical issues, resolving endpoint, hardware, and software faults
Track, audit, and log the lifecycle, procurement, and deployment of all hardware inventory and software licences
Liaise with ISPs, cabling contractors, and hardware vendors during office build-outs
Oversee Windows/Linux servers, Hyper‑V/Nutanix virtualisation, and Active Directory services
Configure laptops, provision user accounts, and assign access permissions for new users
Monitor Azure cloud infrastructure and execute daily backup and recovery procedures
Implement security patches, access controls, and endpoint protection
Provide additional support for project-related tasks as required, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving project needs
