Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Senior Import Operations Manager to lead a local import operations team in Hong Kong. You will oversee end-to-end import execution, including deconsolidation, clearance, and last-mile delivery, while coordinating with overseas origin offices, carriers, and customs brokers.

The role requires 8+ years’ experience in sea freight import operations, strong SOP development skills, and excellent client and vendor management.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in sea freight import operations or freight forwarding with demonstrated team management and leadership capability.
Strong knowledge of end-to-end import operations, customs clearance procedures, ocean carrier booking, and deconsolidation processes in Hong Kong.
Experience in developing and executing operational SOPs, managing client onboarding, and resolving logistics exceptions.
Excellent communication, client management, and vendor negotiation skills.
Native or fluent in Cantonese, with professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

Lead and coach a local import operations team, oversee work allocation and staff performance.
Oversee end-to-end import execution (deconsolidation, clearance, last-mile) to minimize errors and complaints.
Coordinate upstream flows with overseas origin offices while maintaining vendor ties with carriers, CFS warehouses, and customs brokers.
Host monthly/quarterly reviews with Hong Kong clients to resolve pain points and secure retention.
