Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Senior Import Operations Manager to lead a local import operations team in Hong Kong. You will oversee end-to-end import execution, including deconsolidation, clearance, and last-mile delivery, while coordinating with overseas origin offices, carriers, and customs brokers.

The role requires 8+ years’ experience in sea freight import operations, strong SOP development skills, and excellent client and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in sea freight import operations or freight forwarding with demonstrated team management and leadership capability.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end import operations, customs clearance procedures, ocean carrier booking, and deconsolidation processes in Hong Kong.
• Experience in developing and executing operational SOPs, managing client onboarding, and resolving logistics exceptions.
• Excellent communication, client management, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Native or fluent in Cantonese, with professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Directed daily scheduling and performance management while training supervisors to resolve operational disruptions (inspections, delays, manifest errors).
