The American Club in Hong Kong seeks a Human Resources Officer to deliver full HR functions, balancing daily operations with strategic initiatives. You will streamline workflows, boost employee engagement, and support continuous improvement across the Club.
Responsibilities include HRIS maintenance, recruitment, onboarding, policy updates, and data reporting. Strong English and Cantonese, and knowledge of HK regulations are essential.
The Human Resources Officer is responsible to deliver a full spectrum of HR functions while supporting operational excellence and process improvements across the Club. In this role, you will balance day-to-day HR operations with strategic HR initiatives and ad-hoc projects. Adopting a consultative and commercial mindset, you will actively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance employee engagement, and recommend impactful HR solutions to drive business continuous improvement.
Maintain precise HRIS records, organizational charts, and routine HR management repor
Prepare internal communications in both English & Chinese, i.e. Memo, Poster…etc
Facilitate recruitment and selection for entry-level and operational vacancies
Manage seamless onboarding and offboarding procedures for employees
Coordinate staff recognition programs, engagement events, and training arrangements
Assist in updating HR policies in compliance with the HK Employment Ordinance
Regularly update HR reports / related data e.g. Org-Chart, Emergency Contact List...etc
Support ad-hoc HR tasks and departmental projects as required
University Graduate in Human Resources Studies or related discipline
3 years’ of solid experience in a similar role, experience in hospitality will be highly regarded
Attentive to details, well-organized, able to meet tight schedule with quality output and able to work multi-tasks in a dynamic environment
Well versed in Employment Ordinance and other relevant regulations and legislations
A flexible approach to problem solving and be able to communicate effectively with diverse workforce and members
Effectively verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work through complex data or situations to see the bigger picture
Proficient in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
Initiative and proactive
Excellent team player and eager to learn
