LUBUDS Group in Hong Kong is seeking a passionate Head Sommelier to elevate our wine and beverage programs across our upscale dining concepts.

You will curate wine lists, lead cellar operations, train staff, and engage VIP guests to deliver memorable pairings and events. Fluent Cantonese, English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant Sommelier experience in fine-dining or luxury hospitality.
• Certified sommelier (e.g., WSET 3+ or CMS).
• Deep knowledge of international wine regions, pairings for Western & Chinese cuisines, and cellar operations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.

Responsabilités

• Wine Program Management: Curate, update, and manage wine lists, pairings, and beverage menus across multiple upscale restaurants.
• Inventory & Procurement: Handle stock control, cellar management, cost optimization, and supplier negotiations.
• Guest Engagement: Provide expert recommendations and premium hospitality to VIP and regular guests, curating wine-pairing experiences.
• Events Coordination: Collaborate with management and culinary teams for exclusive wine dinners, tastings, and special events.
• Staff Training: Conduct regular wine and beverage training workshops for floor staff, captains, and servers to enhance upselling and guest service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience as a Sommelier in fine-dining restaurants or luxury hospitality groups.
• Recognized sommelier certification (e.g., WSET Level 3 or above or Court of Master Sommeliers).
• Deep knowledge of international wine regions, pairings for both Western and Chinese cuisines, and cellar operations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
