Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad invites a dynamic Relationship Manager to drive growth in its SME and commercial client portfolio across Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. You will acquire new accounts, manage portfolios, and provide structured financial solutions while ensuring compliance and cross-border collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in frontline banking, robust credit analysis, and strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with fluency in English and Chinese

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• ECF qualification preferred; active SFC Type 1 & Type 9 licenses required.
• Minimum 4 to 7 years in front-line commercial banking, including 2+ years as an RM.
• In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong SME regulatory standards and market dynamics.
• Result-oriented self-starter with exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Acquire new SME and commercial accounts to hit financial targets.
• Manage portfolios to optimize income, deposit bases, and borrowing books.
• Provide structured financial solutions and cross-sell Trade Finance, Global Markets, and liability products.
• Structure facilities, write credit applications, and conduct timely financial reviews.
• Maintain a transparent sales pipeline and monitor facility utilization.
• Adhere strictly to compliance protocols, account opening procedures, KYC, and AML guidelines.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a collaborative environment.
• Collaborate with internal partners and overseas offices to capture cross-border business.
• Execute strategic duties and projects directed by Management.
