Job summary

Wonder, a fast-growing payments gateway in Hong Kong, seeks a strategic expansion professional to lead international market entry efforts. You will work with the Project Director to build Wonder into a household brand across Asia Pacific, tailoring product materials and onboarding for merchants.

You will conduct market research, assess regulatory requirements, and coordinate with legal, compliance and financial teams to secure licenses and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, finance or related discipline.
• Min. 1 year of experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking or corporate development.
• Understanding of payments and FinTech in Hong Kong and APAC.
• Strong finance and tech intuition for B2B payments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Independent, self-motivated and quick to learn.
• Experience in international expansion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and implement plans for international market entry with Project Director.
• Track milestones, prepare pitch decks, and manage expansion initiatives.
• Design workflows, onboarding processes and localized product materials.
• Conduct market research analyzing economic conditions, competition, and consumer behavior.
• Assess regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with licenses and reporting.
• Develop relations with regulatory bodies and financial institutions.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance and tech teams on regulatory licenses.
• Prepare reports and proposals for stakeholders and partners.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to local regulations.
