Job description

KPay Group (“KPay”) is a leading fintech company committed to empowering businesses of all sizes through simple, seamless, smart and secure technology solutions.Serving more than 89,000 merchants across Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore, KPay helps unlock growth potential by building a one-stop platform for financial management, business operations, and digital transformation. In 2024, KPay raised a record-breaking USD 55 million in its Series A funding round — the largest globally in the payments sector that year. The company has since been recognised as PayTech of the Year at the 2025 Asia FinTech Awards, selected on Forbes Asia’s 100 to Watch list in 2025 and ranked among the Singapore's Top FinTech Companies 2026 list, curated by Tech in Asia and Statista.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Business Development Manager to drive growth for our global payments platform. You will be based in Hong Kong to work closely with the Product team, ensuring commercial insights flow directly into product prioritization and roadmap decisions. This is an individual-contributor role at the outset. You will build and manage the pipeline independently while junior team members are yet to be hired. Over time, there will be opportunity to grow and lead a team as the function scales.

What You Will Do
  • Identify, develop, and close new partnerships and enterprise clients across global collection accounts, cross-border remittance, card solutions, and adjacent services (AP/AR, expense management, reconciliation, lending, etc.).
  • Conduct thorough discovery to understand client pain points and clearly articulate the value of our full product suite.
  • Work side-by-side with Product in Hong Kong: surface real client needs, competitive intelligence, and market trends so the team can prioritize what to build next in a highly competitive landscape.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close, operating independently in the early stage.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure smooth deal execution and client onboarding.
  • Stay current on market dynamics, competitor moves, and emerging client requirements; help shape commercial and product strategy accordingly.
  • Represent the company in relevant industry discussions and forums.
What We Look For
  • Solid track record in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales within payments, fintech, banking, or related financial services.
  • Hands-on, self-sufficient professional who is comfortable starting alone and building momentum without a team around them initially.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial value and client pain points related to collection accounts, remittance, cards, and supporting financial services (AP/AR, expense, reconciliation, working capital).
  • Ability to translate client conversations and market signals into clear, prioritized product insights.Proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships from the ground up, and drive deals to close.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to engage decision-makers and work effectively with product stakeholders.
  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Hong Kong and able to work closely with the local Product team at least in the beginning
  • Experience selling multi-product or platform solutions rather than single-point products.
  • Familiarity with key corridors, regional regulations, or target verticals.
  • Previous experience contributing commercial input into product roadmap discussions.
