Finance Manager - Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting
Location: Hong Kong Corporate HQ (Occasional travel to Shenzhen)
Company Overview
We are a prominent HKEX-listed conglomerate specializing in consumer electronics, smart appliances, and innovative hardware with extensive manufacturing hubs in Mainland China and global sales networks.
We are looking for an energetic, practical Finance Manager to join our Hong Kong corporate finance team. The role focuses on group financial consolidation, cross-border financial collaboration, and ad-hoc corporate projects, with occasional travel to our Shenzhen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, interim, and annual financial consolidation for multi-tier subsidiaries across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas entities.
- Support the preparation of Interim and Annual Reports and management presentations; ensure financial disclosures adhere to standard HKEX and HKFRS reporting requirements.
2. Ad-hoc Corporate & Special Projects
- Support senior management on ad-hoc corporate finance initiatives (e.g., internal restructuring, cross-border financing, spin-off/buyback support, and due diligence).
- Review and streamline group financial workflows, reporting templates, and data reconciliation processes.
3. Cross-Border Coordination & System Operations
- Act as a core coordinator between the Hong Kong Corporate HQ and the Mainland (Shenzhen) finance team; occasional short travel/day trips to Shenzhen for meetings and project follow-ups.
- Utilize SAP and consolidation tools to drive month-end close efficiency and maintain reporting accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors (Big 4) for interim reviews and annual audit arrangements.
Job Requirements
Education & Professional Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Qualified member of HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or recognized equivalent professional bodies.
Work Experience
- Around 7-10 years of solid accounting and group consolidation experience.
- Background with Big 4 or Second-tier audit firms combined with commercial experience in HK-listed companies (manufacturing, electronics, or conglomerate exposure preferred).
- System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP (ERP) and consolidation systems (e.g., SAP BPC, Hyperion HFM, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Solid practical knowledge of multi-entity consolidation worksheets.
- Good practical sense of HKFRS and HKEX financial reporting requirements (practical application over rigid theory).
Interpersonal Attributes & Travel
- Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of driving ad-hoc assignments independently under tight closing schedules.
- Willing to travel between Hong Kong and Shenzhen occasionally based on operational requirements (day trips / short stays).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and fluent Mandarin (essential for daily communication with Mainland teams).
What We Offer
- Attractive remuneration package with discretionary performance bonus
- 5-day work week with comprehensive medical and life insurance coverage
- Exposure to group-level corporate finance transactions, strategic restructuring, and executive decision support
