Job summary

Links International in Hong Kong is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and ensure rapid, accurate management reporting and statutory accounts. The role requires deep HKFRS/IFRS knowledge and strong governance across GL, AP, AR, fixed assets and inventory with oversight of external audits.

You will drive FP&A, budgeting, and long-range planning, partnering with commercial and operations teams to improve profitability and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent).
• 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience as Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Senior Finance Manager.
• Exposure to trading and manufacturing in an international MNC.
• ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and statutory accounts.
• Maintain compliance with HKFRS, IFRS, local statutory requirements, and Group accounting policies.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
• Manage the annual external audit and coordinate with auditors and advisors.

Group Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial packages for France headquarters.
• Deliver variance analysis, management commentary, and financial insights.
• Ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Support Group consolidation and reporting requirements.

FP&A and Business Partnering

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Partner with commercial, procurement, operations, and supply chain teams to drive profitability.
• Analyze sales margins, gross profit performance, operating costs, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Manufacturing Finance

• Oversee product costing, standard costing, BOM review, and cost allocation methodologies.
• Monitor manufacturing KPIs including:
  • Material usage variance
  • Labor efficiency
  • Production yield
  • Inventory turnover
  • Factory overhead absorption
• Work closely with plant management to identify cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunities.

Inventory & Working Capital Management

• Monitor inventory valuation and provisioning.
• Drive inventory optimization and working capital improvement initiatives.
• Review slow-moving and obsolete stock provisions.
• Enhance cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.

Tax & Compliance

• Manage corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Ensure compliance with HK, PRC, and Group tax requirements.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities when necessary.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing activities.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adequate funding support for business operations.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Strengthen internal control framework and compliance procedures.
• Drive finance transformation and process automation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and system enhancements.
• Support ERP upgrades and digital finance projects.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Hong Kong finance team.
• Foster a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Ensure succession planning and capability development within the team.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent).

Experience

• 8-12+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Senior Finance Manager capacity.
• Strong exposure to both:
  • Trading business
  • Manufacturing operations
• Experience within an international MNC environment.
• Prior reporting experience to regional or global headquarters is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar.
