Job summary

LG Household & Health Care in Hong Kong is seeking a senior financial professional to manage full-set accounting for Hong Kong & Macau. You will supervise the accounting team, drive month-end closings, and deliver financial reporting and analyses to guide strategic decisions.

The role requires 8+ years in accounting with 3 years in leadership, SAP experience, and strong Excel skills. Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance/Accountancy or related disciplines.
• At least 8 years relevant experience, including 3 years in supervisory role.
• Solid financial management experience in Retail industry; multinational company preferred.
• Hands-on SAP and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Formulas).
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting and financial operations for Hong Kong & Macau, including month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Supervise accounting team across receivables, payables, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis on sales, inventory turnover, and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies; support governance.
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams on finance initiatives; perform ad hoc duties.
• Oversee statutory audit process and IFRS/local GAAP tax calculations; liaise with auditors.

Job description

Handle full-set accounting and financial operations for Hong Kong & Macau, including accounting month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Supervise accounting team on all accounting activities including accounts receivables, accounts payables and bank reconciliation

Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis on sales performance, inventory turnover, and supply chain efficiency to provide actionable insights for strategic business decisions

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, and internal corporate policies.

Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to support business decisions and finance initiatives

Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

Manage the statutory audit process end-to-end, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring accurate deferred tax calculations under IFRS/local GAAP.

Manage all corporate tax matters including preparation and calculation. Liaise with external tax representatives to manage and submit tax return filings.

Liaise with service provider to prepare the transfer pricing report.

Coordinate with external CPA firm and tax representative to ensure timely completion of tax return and statutory audit.

Prepare the quarterly note packages and various internal reports for Headquarter.

Handle and coordinate company secretarial matters

Requirements:

Degree holder in Finance/ Accountancy or other related disciplines

At least 8 years relevant experience of which 3 years in supervisory level with a professional accounting qualification

Solid financial management experience in Retail industry with experience in multinational company is preferred.

Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Formulas and data analysis

Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and communication skills

Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
