Our client is a well-established multinational corporation (MNC) with a strong global presence and a collaborative, fast-paced working environment. Due to business needs, they are looking to hire a driven and proactive Accountant to join their Finance team in Hong Kong.
This is an all-rounded accounting role supporting the full spectrum of finance operations, including financial reporting, full sets of accounts, AP, AR, GL review, and ad hoc assignments. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the company's financial records, while working closely with both local and regional stakeholders.
Handle end-to-end accounting operations including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP/IFRS, along with management reports and variance analysis for internal review.
Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payment runs, ensuring proper approval, coding, and timely settlement in line with company policies.
Manage customer billing, collections, and reconciliation of receivables, proactively following up on outstanding balances to maintain healthy cash flow.
Perform regular GL reviews, account reconciliations, and ensure proper classification of transactions to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Assist with external audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements, liaising with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders as needed.
Support finance-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and any ad hoc assignments as directed by management.
Degree or Higher Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; LCCI / HKICPA (or part-qualified) is an advantage.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting operations, ideally within an MNC or sizeable organization.
Solid hands-on experience in full sets of accounts, AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting.
Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting systems knowledge.
Strong attention to detail, with a proactive, hands-on, and can-do attitude.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred).
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Immediate availability or short notice is highly preferred.
