Job summary

Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong is seeking an Events Service Captain to oversee end-to-end events service operations, including conferences, meetings, weddings and social events, ensuring service standards and guest satisfaction.

You will brief staff, coordinate with clients and internal teams, manage AV setups, and adapt to flexible hours including evenings and weekends; hotel banquet experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of events services experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Audio & Video systems is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills under pressure with focus on client satisfaction.
• Good supervisory skills to drive teamwork.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends based on events schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise end-to-end events service operations such as conferences, meetings, weddings, and social events.
• Coordinate with clients, internal departments, and events teams to confirm events requirements and ensure service standards are met.
• Conduct briefing sessions with events staff, seasonal support team and casual staff to ensure events schedules are followed.
• Ensure consistency in quality of food & beverage and standard of service; uphold health, safety, and security guidelines during all events activities.
• Manage guest requests promptly and elevate issues as needed to maintain service excellence.
• Ensure appropriate Audio & Video setup, including microphones, speakers, sound systems, projectors, screens, LED/display systems, and basic troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Certificate or above in hospitality is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of events services working experience or equivalent, preferable with experience in hotel banquets, luxury catering.
• Advantageous in the knowledge of Audio & Video systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills under pressure with a focus on immediate client satisfaction.
• Good supervisory skills to drive teamwork.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on events schedules.
