Job summary

Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong Hotel is seeking a seasoned Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department, elevating guest experience through meticulous room care, décor, and public space presentation.

You will oversee inspections, staffing, training, and cost control, coordinating with Front Office, Engineering and external vendors to ensure safety and quality across the property in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in hotel housekeeping leadership or supervisory roles.
• Preferably 2+ years at Executive Housekeeper level.
• Strong knowledge of hotel cleaning and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Housekeeping team to maintain clean rooms and public areas.
• Oversee room readiness, inspections, and supply readiness.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering and other departments to enhance guest experience.
• Manage contractors and suppliers to meet hotel standards and budgets.
• Ensure safety and hygiene rules are followed in chemical use and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Housekeeping team to maintain clean, high-quality rooms and public areas, including control of linen, amenities, and inventory.
• Bring a creative vision and sophisticated sense of taste to room styling, floral design, and public space décor to uplift the ambiance and elevate the guest experience.
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations like inspections, cleanliness checks, room readiness, and supply readiness.
• Schedule staff, manage performance, provide training, motivate the team, and improve efficiency and cost control.
• Coordinate seamlessly with Front Office, Engineering, and various departments to enhance guest experience.
• Oversee external contractors and suppliers (laundry, pest control, specialized cleaning, floral vendors), ensuring all deliverables strictly aligned with hotel quality standards and budgets.
• Ensure full compliance with safety and hygiene rules, including safe use of chemicals and equipment.

Requirements

• 10 years or above experience in hotel housekeeping leadership or supervisory, at least 2 years in the level of Executive Housekeeper is preferable.
• Diploma or above in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of hotel cleaning and hygiene standards, room readiness processes, inspection methods, and SOP implementation.
• Proven ability to lead teams, coach staff, and maintain high service performance.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a proactive work attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle operational pressure effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong guest-service mindset.
