Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is inviting applications for a contract-based network support role to maintain and upgrade the Hongkong Post network infrastructure. Qualifications

• Strong Cisco networking knowledge with hands-on router/switch experience.
• Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, and F5 is an advantage.
• Fluent in Chinese or English; willing to work at multiple HKP locations; overtime/on-call may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical and maintenance support for networking hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateway, etc).
• Assist application and support teams with network-related issues in procurement, implementation, and testing.
• Coordinate with contractors, users, and teams for proper network task implementation.
• Provide first-line technical support for network incidents.

Project Nature (T26) To provide on-going maintenance support to departmental network and Internet-facing network of Hongkong Post; and to maintain, enhance and upgrade the existing network infrastructure of Hongkong Post.

Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the Hongkong Post;
The job duties requirements of the service are as follows:-
a) To provide on-going system technical and maintenance support to all networking hardware and software (including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, Wi-Fi Access Point, DHCP/DNS appliance, VPN gateway, network monitoring systems and etc);
b) To assist application teams and various support teams in ongoing or project-based network related issue in the areas of procurement, implementation and testing;
c) To evaluate and apply firmware updates and software patches for all network related devices and systems;
d) To co-ordinate and collaborate with contractors, users, application teams and various support teams for proper implementation of network related task;
e) To provide first-line technical support for network infrastructure whenever there is problem in network related incident;

Requirements The support staff is required to:
a) Solid knowledge and good technical skill for equipment of Cisco;
b) Hand-on experience in Cisco router and switches configuration and technical support is mandatory;
c) Hand-on experience in Juniper firewall, F5 LTM, Fortinet proxy configuration and technical support is an advantage;
d) Good communication and skills, both written and verbal in both Chinese or English;
e) Need to work in various location of HKP;
f) Overtime and on-call work are required when necessary; and
g) Criminal record check is required.
Technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP);
. At least 1 year's experience in Router Configuration (ROU);
. 1 year's experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN) is an advantage;
. 1 year's experience in Wide Area Network (WAN) is an advantage;
. 1 year's experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 2 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD).
- At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent;
- At least 5 years'relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
