Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking a Commodities Trade Support professional to ensure accurate trade processing and post-trade control across diverse commodities products. The role provides liaison across teams to support strategy, resource planning and senior leadership priorities.

You will oversee the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including reconciliations, KYC/AML onboarding, and reporting, contributing to ongoing risk and process improvements within a securities firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related quantitative field.
• At least three years’ experience in middle-office or trade support focused on derivatives.
• Availability to work onsite in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Execute accurate and timely trade capture, booking and enrichment across commodities products.
• Oversee post-trade lifecycle events, daily position and P&L reconciliations, and exception management.
• Identify operational risks and draft internal procedures aligned with policies and regulatory standards.
• Conduct name searches and manage end-to-end KYC and AML checks within onboarding workflows.
• Support strategy execution, resource planning and cross-departmental alignment.
• Liaise across teams to drive strategic business initiatives and management projects.
• Deliver management reporting and complete ad hoc strategic priorities.

The Commodities Trade Support role supports the company’s commodities business by ensuring accurate and timely trade processing and post-trade control. Our client is a securities firm offering the opportunity to work across commodities operations, risk and compliance, client onboarding and strategic business initiatives.

Role Overview

The role provides operational oversight across the commodities trade lifecycle, from execution through to reconciliation and exception management. It acts as a key liaison across functional teams, supporting executive strategy, resource planning and management priorities.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong foundational knowledge of commodities markets, trade lifecycles and front-to-back operational workflows
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical capabilities
• Experience with derivatives-focused middle-office or trade support activities

Key Responsibilities

• Execute accurate and timely trade capture, booking and enrichment across a diverse range of commodities products
• Oversee post-trade lifecycle events, daily position and P&L reconciliations, and exception management
