The Trade Support role ensures the accurate processing and validation of client orders within a financial organisation. It supports traders and liaises with external counterparts to facilitate seamless order execution and settlement. This position is critical to maintaining operational integrity in trading activities.

Role Overview

The Trade Support works within the trade operations team, reporting to senior operational managers. The role involves performing pre-trade checks, validating order parameters, and supporting trade execution in real-time. Success is measured by the accuracy of trade booking, reconciliation of trade data, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

• Perform pre-trade checks and validations for client orders against mandates, KYC/AML limits, client restrictions, and market rules.
• Validate order parameters such as client accounts, counterparties, product eligibility, limits, and available cash/securities before execution.
• Provide real-time operational support to traders during order execution and routing processes.
• Liaise with trading desk, execution venues, and brokers to ensure clarity and confirmation of fills.
• Accurately book executed trades into internal systems and downstream platforms.
• Reconcile trade blotters with broker confirmations and trade feeds; investigate and resolve breaks.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound asset transfers, interacting with custodians, brokers, and counterparties.
• Communicate material corporate action events and deadlines to client teams as required.
• Serve as operational point-of-contact for client teams on trade-related inquiries and ad-hoc requests.
• Participate in change control, UAT, and platform rollouts impacting trade operations.
