Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking a high-caliber AVP to join its Global Commodities team. Based in Hong Kong, you will drive sales and origination for Exchange-Traded and OTC commodity derivatives to institutional clients, with direct collaboration to traders and structurers.

You will manage key client relationships, identify hedging needs, monitor risk, and help develop new products while ensuring HK regulatory compliance and strong client outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in commodities derivatives sales, marketing, or structuring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, or related field; CFA or similar designation is a plus.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
• Experience with HKMA/SFC regulatory frameworks.
• Preference for experience in HK or international markets.

We are seeking a high-caliber Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join their high-performing Global Commodities team in Hong Kong. This position offers exceptional market visibility, direct involvement in structuring both Exchange-Traded and OTC commodity derivatives, and significant room for commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Marketing & Origination: Drive sales and marketing efforts for both Exchange-Traded and OTC commodity derivatives solutions to institutional corporates, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), funds, and trading houses.

• Client Portfolio Management: Cultivate, expand, and manage key counterparty and client relationships; identify hedging and investment needs to deliver tailored commodity solutions.

• Trade Execution & Support: Partner closely with internal trading desks to execute daily client orders seamlessly while providing end-to-end transaction support.

• Risk Management & Limit Monitoring: Oversee daily trading positions, monitor client credit and risk exposures, and ensure all transactions align with internal risk frameworks.

• New Business Development: Assist in developing new commodity products, organizing institutional marketing events, and capturing emerging market trends.

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to internal risk policies, HKMA/SFC regulatory frameworks, and market compliance standards.

Key Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline. CFA or relevant professional designation is an advantage.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commodities derivatives sales, marketing, or structuring within a reputable investment bank, brokerage, or financial institution. Candidates with 2+ years of full-time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas are preferred.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong product knowledge across OTC and Listed commodity derivatives (Futures, Options, Swaps, Structure Notes).

• Regulatory Acumen: Solid understanding of regulatory, clearing, and compliance frameworks governing commodity derivatives markets.

• Languages: Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (written and spoken) is essential to cover Greater China and international clients.
