About the job Director, Commodity Trader

Our client is a multinational enterprise with headquartered in Guangzhou, China. It operates in diverse sectors such as real estate, finance, health, education, hospitality, and media. Recently, the focus has shifted to expanding its health business by introducing advanced medical technologies and health management services. Now, the startup fund in the Cayman Islands is seeking an individual who can attract institutional clients, such as family offices or small financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop business relationship with customers and counterparties;
• Manage risk of portfolio and ensure all risk limits are all followed;
• Manage a team of traders and ensure best customer services and trade execution;
• Monitor activities of traders to ensure that they adhere with laws and regulations and internal control;
• Use market intelligence to identify new suppliers/customers and develop product portfolio;
• Liaise with logistics, operations and risk management teams to ensure smooth, profitable operations; and
• Perform duties as assigned by the Head of Global Commodities

Job Requirements:
