Job summary

CLSA in Hong Kong seeks a senior market professional to develop customer markets and cover commodity trading needs for financial institutions, corporate clients, and general investment institutions.

You will identify client demand, design tailored products, support swaps and hedging solutions with trading and structuring teams, and maintain CRM records while contributing to business development. Fluent English and Mandarin are essential, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in finance, economics, science, or engineering-related fields.
• Experience covering commodities markets with overseas client resources in Hong Kong, Singapore, or London.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin) listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
• Willingness for frequent business travel.
• Excellent past work performance and daily conduct.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer markets and cover the commodity trading needs of financial institutions, corporate clients, and general investment institutions.
• Identify and analyze client demand; design and propose customized products, solutions, and strategies.
• Support distribution of swaps, options, and structured hedging solutions with trading and structuring teams; coordinate with trading, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
• Regularly revisit existing clients, synchronize client situations and market dynamics, address personalized demands, enhance client retention, and track the trading lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and client activity reporting.
• Participate in industry events and client meetings as part of business development.
• Adhere to the compliance/operational risk framework to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist launch of new product initiatives and new client coverage with growth of business.
• Involve in all aspects of client on-boarding, trading, post trade services.

• Identify and analyze client demand and investment objectives; design and propose customized products, solutions, and strategies.
• Support distribution of swaps, options, and structured hedging solutions in collaboration with trading and structuring teams; work closely with trading, risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Regularly revisit existing clients, synchronize client situations and market dynamics internally, address personalized client demands, enhance client retention, and track the entire trading lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and client activity reporting.
• Participate in industry events and client meetings as part of broader business development efforts.
• Adhere to the compliance/operational risk framework to ensure all regulatory or company policies are complied with.
• Support the launch of new product initiatives, new business model development and new client coverage with the growth of business.

Involve in all aspects of client on-boarding, trading, post trade services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or above in finance, economics, science, or engineering-related fields.
• Experience covering commodities customer markets, possessing overseas customer resources in Hong Kong, Singapore, or London, and familiarity with the commodity market.
• Strong team collaboration, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with Fluent English and Chinese(Mandarin) listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
• Strong adaptability and stress resistance, capable of independent business development, and able to accommodate frequent business travel.
