Job summary

Nf Smith and Associates in Hong Kong seeks an experienced business development leader to build strategic partnerships, review market trends, and propose new revenue ideas across Asia. You will cultivate relationships with customers, suppliers and vendors, identify new lines of business, and work with senior executives to oversee scalable expansion and growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business development or customer-focused management, preferably in semiconductors.
• Strong knowledge of distribution in a high-tech industry.
• Experience negotiating contracts for inventory programs, purchasing and EOL projects.

Essential Job Duties

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships to review current market trends and propose new business ideas to improve revenue.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and venders to identify and qualify new lines of business.
• Partner with senior executives to supervise the development and execution of business plans for scalable expansion and growth.
• Advise team members about the company’s products and business model on a regular basis.
• Visit Asian Smith offices to help train, coach and manage accounts.
• Stay up to date and current on industry news and trends.

• Strong negotiation skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast, pace commercial environment.
• Fluent in English and another Asian language (Japanese, Mandarin, Vietnamese and Thai) is a big plus
• Excellent business acumen across the electronic manufacturing landscape
• Willing and able to travel across all Asian countries.

Experience

• At least 10 years’ experience in either business development positions or other customer focused management positions preferably in the semiconductor or similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of distribution (independent and franchise) in a high-tech industry.
• Negotiating contracts for inventory programs, scheduled and shortage purchasing and EOL projects.
