Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd is seeking a Branch Operations Manager (Branches / Relief Team) in Hong Kong. The role oversees daily branch operations, ensures compliance, and leads the operations team to deliver quality service and cross-sell bank products.

The successful candidate will manage relief duties, verify transactions, maintain counter balances, and supervise back-office tasks while cultivating customer relationships and supporting branch sales efforts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above required.
• 5+ years branch operations experience in banking, with supervisory exposure.
• HKSI & IIQE licenses preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of branch ops, compliance and controls.
• Excellent people and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily branch operations for compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach and motivate the operations team to deliver quality service and cross-sell products.
• Perform relief duties in branches and oversee counter services and back-office administration.
• Check and verify various transactions, clearing and account matters.
• Ensure accurate balances and propriety of all counter transactions.
• Admin duties as secondary custodian of money orders, traveller checks, etc.
