Job summary

The Aberdeen Boat Club invites applications for an Assistant Floor Manager to elevate member and guest dining experiences at our Wong Chuk Hang clubhouse. You will oversee daily floor operations, greet guests, supervise junior staff, manage reservations and billing, and coordinate with kitchen and management to ensure smooth service in a fast-paced club environment.

Fluent Cantonese and English are required, conversational Mandarin is a plus, and flexibility to work weekends and public holidays

Qualifications

• 3–5 years related work experience in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Assist the Floor Manager in supervising floor operations, including opening/closing duties and table turnover.
• Guest Service: Greet and seat guests warmly, provide detailed menu recommendations, and handle guest inquiries or complaints professionally.
• Service Standards: Oversee the flow of service to ensure timely and accurate order delivery; maintain knowledge of menu items and beverage pairings.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train and mentor junior servers and support staff, ensuring grooming and behavior standards are met.
• Coordination: Act as a key communicator between the kitchen, management, and the service team.
• Administrative: Handle billing, cash/card transactions and assist with reservation management.

The Aberdeen Boat Club is located in Wong Chuk Hang (MTR exit B- 10 mins walk), South HK Island, provides recreational and competitive sea-based activities with a second clubhouse located on Middle Island.

We are now hiring Assistant Floor Manager. You will provide exceptional service to our members and guests, taking orders and ensuring a welcoming dining experience.

Requirements
