Job summary

Hong Kong Arts Development Council invites a capable officer to contribute to grant scheme reviews, research, planning and implementation.

You will oversee programme delivery, manage budgets and prepare reports ensuring effective execution of HKADC’s work, while maintaining communications with arts practitioners and organisations.

This role includes secretarial support to committees and team leadership through grants administration.

Qualifications

  • University degree with at least 5 years of relevant full-time working experience in arts administration or grant scheme administration.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, numerical and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, detail-oriented and well-organised.
  • Professional and tactful manner in communicating with different stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • To assist the supervisors in conducting grant scheme review, including undertaking research, planning and implementation work;
  • To oversee project implementation, manage programme plans and budgets, and prepare periodical reports to ensure the effective execution of the Council's work;
  • To maintain effective communication with arts practitioners and organisations, and provide assistance and advice as appropriate;
  • To provide secretarial support to committees and working groups, including preparing agenda, papers, briefing materials and minutes, and taking follow-up action;
  • To manage and supervise a team of staff for effective grants administration and project management; and
  • To undertake other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
  • University degree with at least 5 years of relevant full-time working experience in arts administration / grant scheme administration; working experience in government and public organisation is preferred;
  • Strong administrative, analytical, numerical and strategic planning skills;
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage;
  • Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, well-organised and a mature personality; and
  • Professional and tactful manner in communicating with different stakeholders.
Remuneration Package
  • The successful candidate will be appointed on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Renewal of contract will be subject to operational needs and staff performance.
  • A competitive remuneration and benefits package will be offered, including a monthly salary of HK$45,660, annual leave, medical and dental insurance coverage.
