Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is seeking an HR Officer for the Asia Pacific Region. This role translates business needs into integrated HR solutions, manages HR administration, and collaborates with HR centers of expertise to develop region-specific HR solutions.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of HR principles, regional policies, and practices.
• Knowledge of HR governance and applicable legislation with the ability to apply them in day-to-day operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Proven knowledge of HR operations with the ability to analyze issues and apply HR concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support daily HR Operations including onboarding, offboarding, background screening, visa applications and renewals.
• Assist in regional compensation and benefits operations including payroll, pension and group insurance administration.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS (Workday).
• Manage HR record-keeping and compliance per Records Management Framework.
• Collaborate with procurement for vendor onboarding and agreement renewal.
• Process invoices for HR vendors.
• Prepare and report monthly global headcount for APAC to the head office.
• Assist in ad hoc tasks when required.
