Job summary

CIBC World Markets Inc. is seeking an HR Officer for the Asia Pacific region to translate business needs into integrated HR solutions.

You will manage HR administration, partner with regional teams, and support HR operations across APAC, including onboarding, payroll, data maintenance in Workday, and compliance with local laws. This role requires effective cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving HR strategies while supporting multiple

Qualifications

Solid understanding of HR principles, regional policies, and practices.
Knowledge of HR governance and applicable legislation with the ability to apply them in day-to-day operations.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
Proven knowledge of HR operations with the ability to analyze issues and apply detailed HR concepts.
Well-developed presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Support daily HR Operations including onboarding, offboarding, background screening, visa applications and renewals.
Assist in regional compensation and benefits operations including payroll execution, pension and group insurance administration.
Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS (Workday).
Manage HR record-keeping and compliance per policy framework.
Partner with internal procurement to manage vendor onboarding and renewal.
Process HR vendor invoices.
Prepare and report monthly headcount for APAC to head office.
Assist in ad hoc tasks as required.
