Job summary

Guotai Haitong Financial Holdings Limited in Hong Kong seeks an Analyst / Associate for Application Support in the IT Department. You will analyse requirements, design and develop trading applications, and perform system health checks as part of ongoing support and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computing Science, Business or related disciplines.
• Hands on knowledge in Linux and Windows server environment and relational database.
• Hands on experience in script changing; knowledge for Python/Java is an advantage.
• At least 2-year of trading system operations and trading floor support.
• Understand operations of trading and financial institutes; FIX connectivity a plus.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; willing to work shifts.

Job description

Analyst / Associate - Application Support, IT Department

Responsible for requirement analysis, design and development of trading applications. Perform system health check and support, identify the system weakness and provide the technical solution. Perform the BAU configuration change, user access management as well as the system cost & payment. Review and make suggestions on the effectiveness of system operational efficiency.

Perform change for the agreed enhancement (including both business driven and compliance requirement), conduct unit tests and testing environment setup; Provide ad-hoc support on systems issue, system support and new system rollouts.

Understand the functions in trading and algo system, able to identify interface requirements and create interfaces of the system; able to conduct system OS operations including Linux and Windows Server, and Database operations such as Mysql and programming skills (Java or Python).

Requirement:

Degree in Computing Science, Business or related disciplines.

Hands on knowledge in Linux and Windows server environment and relational database, e.g. MySQL, Oracle and SQL script. Hands on experience in script changing, knowledge for Python/Java is an advantage.

At least 2-year of trading system operations and trading floor support. Understand the operations of trading and financial institute. Understand of Algo trading and FIX connectivity is a plus.

Self-motivated with good communications and interpersonal skills, willing to make improvement to the existing workflow and system. Working under shift basis is a must.

Fluent in English Cantonese and Mandarin.
