Job summary

Guotai Haitong Financial Holdings Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Analyst/Associate to manage system requirements for trading and financial applications. You will analyze requirements, assist with design and perform testing to ensure system integrity.

You will provide daily system support during trading hours, troubleshoot issues, manage change projects, and coordinate testing with vendors. A strong foundation in Linux/Windows servers, databases, and Python is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Computing Science or related field.
• Hands-on Linux and Windows server experience.
• Experience with relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle).
• At least 2 years of Python development.
• Understanding of financial trading systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, design and test trading and financial applications.
• Provide daily system support and troubleshoot during trading hours.
• Manage issues: preventive measures, post-incident follow-ups, vendor testing.
• Handle change management: exchange projects, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, BAU.
• Perform functional, technical and regression tests to ensure quality.
• Oversee user access management and contract management.

Analyst / Associate - System Requirements Management, IT Department

Responsible for requirement analysis, design and testing of trading and financial applications.

Daily system support and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any ad-hoc issue during in trading hours, to ensure the smoothness of daily trading activity. Issue management includes preventive measurement, post-incident follows up, functionality test with vendor to ensure the stability of the trading platforms.

Change management includes Exchange project, system enhancement, system integration, system / modules upgrade and BAU tasks. Able to perform the necessary tests such as functional, technical and regression test to ensure the quality of delivery in controllable manner.

Responsible for system user access management, contract management.

Requirement:

Degree in Computing Science, Business or related disciplines.

Hands on knowledge in Linux and Windows server environment and relational database, e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle and SQL script. 2 years of professional software development using Python.

Understand the operations of financial institute and its system. Previous experience of trading application or understand exchange rule is a plus.

Self-motivated with good communications and interpersonal skills, willing to make improvement to the existing workflow and system.
