Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Front Office Business Analyst to bridge trading, research, and technology teams for global equity trading systems. The role focuses on gathering requirements, translating them into functional specs, and supporting UAT and testing activities across international markets.

The candidate will work with front, middle, and research users, and collaborate with development to convert business needs into technical designs, while tracking risks and reporting progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with strong knowledge of front office cash equity trading systems (OMS/EMS) and exchange connectivity.
• Familiarity with equity trading workflows, particularly in Asia markets; hands-on trading support experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL, Linux and FIX protocol.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese required).

Responsibilities

• Support front office project initiatives to design and implement solutions for global equity trading and research platforms.

• Analyze business needs and propose high-level solutions for system enhancements and implementations.

• Monitor and report on business performance, identifying trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in test case preparation and conduct reviews to ensure quality and completeness.
• Support user acceptance testing by coordinating with business users and resolving gaps between requirements and delivered solutions.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and key issues to project stakeholders and senior management.
