A leading entertainment company in Greater London is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead teams within the Identity Engineering organization. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders and fostering Agile practices, while delivering consumer identity and access management capabilities. Candidates should have a strong background in JVM languages and cloud services with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Opportunities include mentoring and driving technical improvements.
As a Manager, Software Engineering you will be responsible for leading a group of engineering leaders and their squads within the Identity Engineering organisation. You will help set technical and architectural direction, influence the roadmap for squads and the wider organisation, and partner with peers across Product, Project Management, and Engineering. You’ll support leaders in organising effectively to deliver on Identity Engineering’s goals, lead within a dynamic, inclusive environment grounded in agile practices, and foster strong collaboration between squads. Additionally, you’ll help cultivate a culture focused on delivering exceptional experiences for guests, consumers, and internal stakeholders.
Identity Engineering delivers Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) including but not limited to: D+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Parks. Identity Engineering squads build and run high-traffic and globally replicated systems which form an integral and visible part of every consumer’s journey at Disney properties.
